Issue Position

Steve Henson brings years of experience in vocational education and has worked with many schools in the district to understand their needs.

Supported legislation to help fund higher teacher salaries and after school programs while in the Senate.

Co-Sponsored Georgia's Charter Schools Law to allow schools to voluntarily seek charter school status.

Will work to continue to reduce student/teacher ratios and promote excellence in our schools.

Will work closely with schools to help increase parental involvement, and with teachers to make sure they get the support they deserve.

"Because of his deep concern for education and Georgia's students" Steve has been endorsed by the Georgia Association of Educators.
